In 1957 the Henry Ford family donated land & a new House was built on Joy Road. Since opening its doors, CCH has evolved dramatically as the needs of children & families in the community have changed. Over time, it became increasingly apparent that children needed more than a warm meal & a safe place to sleep, as many entering the House were from neglectful & abusive homes. The agency has grown into a sophisticated treatment facility which is widely recognized for its outstanding services to youth in crisis. Currently, we are operating as a 25 bed residential treatment facility, providing intensive services to younger males 5-16."
